What was the highlight of MARQUEE Playa Hotel
Great little hotel
The communication with the front desk is very efficient. Jackie went above and beyond for me as there was a mix up in dates and she fixed the issue immediately and without question. She was wonderful ! The location is off 5th which is great because it's removed a bit from the the hustle and bustle . I was there for a quick overnight as I was up early the next day for the airport but the room was spacious , clean and a comfy bed.

What was the highlight of MARQUEE Playa Hotel
Good
The room looked great as per the photos, and was in a great location. Close to lots of restaurants, the Walmart, and 5th Ave (tho it was just a very touristy street), walkable from the ADO bus terminal if taking bus to/from cancun airport, and lots of tours leave from Coco Bongo as the pick up point which is just across the road. Bed was super comfy and room was big. Pretty quiet street overall - sometimes there was some light noise from nearby businesses but never enough to affect my sleep.
The digital keycard had us nervous the whole time incase of failure. Though nothing had actually happened, we had a close call where we couldn't get into our room as there had been a power outage a bit earlier. But luckily as this was during staffed hours, the receptionist was able to let us in manually and the digital card was reset and working within 5-10mins. Not sure what would happen if this happened outside of staffed hours. The same night it was also noticed around 10pm there was also no water coming out of the shower/taps. Not sure if this was also due to the power outage earlier and some kind of reset was needed, but we happened to just try it again after 20mins or so and it was working again. Also note as depicted in the images, there is no separation of the bathroom/bedroom areas.

What was the highlight of MARQUEE Playa Hotel
Wonderful
The hotel is at a great location, just 2 min walking from the 5th Avenue, still well protected from the noise. The room is huge and very nicely decorated. You have everything you need in the room: iron and iron board, hair dryer, bathrope, etc. The rooms indeed look like it is a 4* hotel.
The only thing I didnt like is that the staff is at the hotel only 9h-17h and there is a digital key if you arrive later. That gave me a sense of lack of security and I would feel much more comfortable if there was staff onsite 00-24. Also, I was present when a couple arrived, after 17h, and they had problems with the digital key. They were trying to call the contact number but nobody was picking up. That's not nice.

Comfortable small hotel in excellent location
The room was very spacious and comfortable. Well appointed. The room was surprisingly quiet considering the central location.
The pool was cold and the rooftop bar area was not in service.
